Insider tableThe Piazzetta institution since 1938 -- pizza a metro and the island's old-guard clientele.
Insider tableThings to do
An early-morning visit before the day-tripper queues, when the sea-cave's blue light is at its clearest.
A full circumnavigation of the island by private boat, stopping to swim beneath the famous rock stacks.
The island's highest point, reached by chairlift, with views to Naples and the Amalfi Coast on a clear day.
Capri town's tiny main square at aperitivo hour -- the island's nightly ritual, best from a café table with a Negroni.
Insider note
Do the Blue Grotto at 8am with your own boat -- by midday the queue of rowing boats can mean an hour's wait for ninety seconds inside.
